The Stafford Academy of Dance provides a positive and safe setting for dance training.  Proper technique is stressed in all classes.  We strive to assist the developing dancer to reach his/her potential through a safe and progressive approach.  Each student is treated as an individual.  This is achieved through our appropriate student to teacher ratio and positive reinforcement.

Children's classes are geared toward mastering basic concepts through imagination and exploration.  Older students are challenged by the latest dance innovations and choreography while continuing to emphasize technique.  Safe work habits, personal responsibility and concentration become second nature to our budding artists.

The Stafford Academy of Dance has a long, rich history in the town of Stafford Springs.  Beginning as the Marjorie Serafin School of Dance, the Spring Recital of 2000 marked our 52nd year of dance in Stafford. In the fall of 2000, the operations of the school were turned over to former student and long-time dance teacher, Heidi Klecak.  The name of the studio became “The Stafford Academy of Dance” but for the students, families and staff, it was a seamless transition.  Mrs. Serafin continued on as an instructor, and retired in 2014 after her 65th year of teaching dance to the youth of Stafford and surrounding towns. We treasure her, and are incredibly grateful for everything she has taught us!
